Paris Hilton Hawks Hair Extension Headband 'The Bandit'

August 24, 2008

Now you, too, can have removable hair extensions like Paris Hilton!

The heiress is selling her own line of lock lengtheners through Sally Beauty Supply.

"The Bandit," Hilton's interchangeable hair extension headband, can add up to 22 inches of 100 percent polyester hair to the wearer via Velcro, according to SallyandParis.com.

"My goal was to bring myself and my personality into this project," the 27-year-old said.

"I have been wearing extensions for years, and there is nothing out there like this product. Every woman should have one."

While Hilton's never made a secret of her extension use, her hair hasn't always gotten rave reviews.

Former "Saturday Night Live" star Tina Fey complained on Howard Stern's radio show in 2006 that the heiress left "nasty wads of Barbie hair" around the SNL set. Hilton also drew stares last week when the bindings from her extensions peeked out from her coif at a nightclub opening.

Critics aside, Hilton has had success in the hair biz: The "Simple Life" star has been the face of DreamCatchers extensions since 2007 and has a high-end line with the brand.

"The Bandit" will hit shelves on Sept. 20.
